Lovely cottage in a very quiet location but is a great base for visiting all the places of interest in the Scottish borders and around. The cottage had everything we needed and the hosts make you feel welcome and at home, and whilst they are on site they never interfere and allow you to enjoy your holiday in peace. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

We had a lovely stay at Heritage Cottage. The cottage itself was superb and very clean, the welcome basket was also a nice touch. We are from a large town and are unable to see many stars on a night, but the area where the cottage was situated was amazing, as there was very little light pollution we saw and photographed the amazing skies. This would be a selling point for any astronomy enthusiasts, like ourselves. I have already recommended Crabtree & Crabtree to my friends and we will hopefully be booking again some time in the future!

I thought the cottage was super actually. Probably the nicest I have stayed in yet with Crabtree & Crabtree. You should make more of the fact it is so close to the Ladykirk beat on the Tweed which is where I was fishing.

Kelso worth a visit and a highlight was Fast Castle just north of St Abbs - off the beaten track but worth seeking it out.

We had an enjoyable week at Heritage Cottage. Having never visited the Scottish Borders before, it really does feel like another country. We welcomed the peace and quiet and the fact that minor roads were often completely empty - except for us! As for the property, we found it perfect for our needs. It was clean and well-equipped, with a beautiful outlook onto fields and the Cheviots beyond. Above all, the owners were welcoming and willing to help and advise if and when required. We would not hesitate to use Crabtree & Crabtree again if staying in the area.

Heritage Cottage is simply fantastic! Perfect size for two adults and two dogs. The hosts were most gracious from the outset, greeting us on arrival, showing us round and making sure the log burner was roaring away making the place lovely & cosy. The welcome pack was the best we've experienced with the homemade flapjacks and bottle of single malt to enjoy a particular highlight! Nearby fields and woodland gave the dogs a nice mile round trip to start each day off too. Even with the sunshine we were unusually blessed with at this time of year it wasn't quite warm enough to enjoy the beautiful outdoor terrace but that'll keep for next time, and I'm sure there will be. Thanks again.
