Yellowcraig Beach
A Scenic Cove with Rich History
Yellowcraig Beach, nestled in a natural cove, offers stunning views of the 1885 lighthouse on Fidra Island, famously linked to Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Treasure Island.” This family-friendly spot features a well-equipped adventure playpark and a network of nature trails winding through picturesque woodlands and grassy meadows.
In the woods, visitors will find a unique sculpture titled ‘Disperse,’ reflecting the local community’s connection to nature. The sculpture, symbolising the dispersal of seeds, is designed to evolve as it gradually integrates into the natural environment. Yellowcraig Beach also includes a barbecue site, dog-friendly areas, and opportunities for horse riding, complemented by local dining options and the historic Dirleton Castle with its renowned gardens.
