A Historic Links Course
Golf has graced the West Links of North Berwick since the 17th century. This championship course, celebrated for its panoramic views of the Firth of Forth and the islands of Bass Rock, Craigleith, Lamb, and Fidra, offers a unique and storied golfing experience. Located a short walk from the vibrant town centre, it stands as a testament to the rich history of the sport.
The West Links is renowned for its challenging layout, featuring six holes where the sea plays a crucial role and incorporating hazards like beach areas and historic walls. The course, which has hosted Final Qualifying for The Open and numerous amateur championships, invites golfers to engage their imagination and skill. The Clubhouse, dating back to 1880 and recently refurbished, provides a welcoming space for reflection and refreshment, steeped in tradition with original lockers and honours boards on display. Visitors can expect a warm welcome and the chance to create lasting memories on this iconic course.
