Visitors can discover the thrill of soaring over the Cheviot Hills with Borders Gliding Club. Whether one chooses to learn to handle the controls or simply sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views, these flights offer a unique perspective of Northumberland’s landscapes. A voucher purchase includes complimentary membership, allowing for an extended flying experience. Flights operate every weekend throughout the year, with additional early evening sessions available in April and May.
Borders Gliding Club also offers comprehensive Gliding Mini Courses for those seeking more than a one-off Air Experience Flight. These courses provide an initial training package and are run on various Fridays throughout the summer. Participants gain hands-on experience and delve deeper into the art of gliding amidst the stunning scenery of the Scottish Borders and Northumberland.
