Wander through the nearly intact circuit of towered walls and interactive sculpture trails that reveal the lives of 15th-century inhabitants. Built over 600 years ago by the first Earl of Northumberland, the great tower remains almost complete, showcasing the castle’s resilience through events like the 1327 Scottish siege. Look out for the lion badge of the Percy family, emblematic of their kingly power in the North, as you explore this historical gem.
