In the 20th century, Danby Beacon became home to an RAF radar station, guiding pilots and intercepting enemy aircraft during World War II. Today, the landscape offers a window into its past, with panoramic views over the moors and a rich ecological habitat supporting diverse wildlife. Standing at this historic site, visitors encounter both the echoes of history and the unspoiled beauty of the North York Moors.
