Botham's of Whitby
Five Generations of Traditional Yorkshire Baking
Established in 1865, Botham’s of Whitby has been baking in the historic fishing town for over 150 years. Founded by Elizabeth Botham, the family-run bakery is now in its fifth generation, renowned for its Whitby Lemon Buns, Yorkshire Brack, and Shah Ginger Biscuits. Traditional recipes sit alongside seasonal bakes, with each creation inspired by the region’s heritage and finest ingredients.
From its Skinner Street bakehouse to tearooms and shops across Yorkshire, Botham’s continues to honour its legacy while embracing new flavours. Biscuits, breads, and cakes—many with a nod to Whitby’s maritime history—remain at the heart of the business, with a growing range of hampers and mail-order treats bringing the taste of Yorkshire to homes nationwide.
