A Historic Course on the East Lothian Coast
Royal Musselburgh Golf Club, the sixth oldest golf club in the world, is located along the renowned East Lothian golf coast. Positioned to the east of Musselburgh, this scenic parkland course invites golfers to experience its storied heritage and beautiful layout.
Originally played on the Musselburgh Levenhall links, where several historic golf clubs once gathered, Royal Musselburgh is renowned for the Old Club Cup, the oldest competitive trophy in golf, awarded since 1774. Designed by the celebrated Open champion and architect James Braid, the course offers a memorable round with its challenging final five holes. Notable features include the demanding par 3, 14th hole known as “The Gully Hole,” and the formidable 15th, a long dogleg par 4. The 18th hole also presents a test with its long drive requirement and a sloping fairway.
