Thorp Perrow, set in the serene Yorkshire Dales near Bedale, unveils one of the UK’s most distinguished arboretums and a leading centre for bird of prey conservation. Spanning 100 acres, this botanical marvel is home to five National Plant Collections and 51 Champion Trees, showcasing an array of magnificent and rare species. Created by Colonel Sir Leonard Ropner and lovingly enhanced by his family, this living tapestry offers a captivating journey through a verdant realm.

Throughout the year, Thorp Perrow transforms with the seasons, from the delicate snowdrop and bluebell carpets of spring to the rich autumn hues and frosty winter scenes. Visitors can revel in seasonal events, including enchanting trails and festive celebrations. The Bird of Prey & Mammal Centre, featuring nearly 100 birds and interactive mammal experiences, adds to the site’s charm.
