Slaley Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort: A Northumberland Retreat

Slaley Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort in Hexham, Northumberland, is a former Edwardian hunting lodge turned luxury retreat, set amidst 1,000 acres of unspoilt moorland and dense forests. The estate, part of The QHotels Collection, offers a unique blend of history and modern amenities, having once served as a war hospital and a concert venue for Elton John and Madonna.

The resort features two renowned 18-hole golf courses, the Hunting Course, often referred to as the ‘Augusta of the North’, and the more forgiving Priestman Course, which offers panoramic views of the Tyne Valley. After a round of golf, guests can relax at the Claret Jug clubhouse or on the outdoor terrace.

Slaley Hall also boasts a luxurious spa with nine treatment rooms, including a dual suite, offering a range of facials, rituals, and full body massages using ELEMIS products. The dining options are diverse, with Hadrian’s Brasserie, the Claret Jug, and the Whisky Snug providing delicious meals and a warm North East welcome.
