Restaurant Pine, the debut venture of Northumberland-born Cal Byerley and his wife Sian Byerley, offers an intimate dining experience in a converted cow barn. Located near Hadrian’s Wall, the restaurant features a bespoke open kitchen where diners can watch their meals being prepared by dedicated chefs while enjoying views of the sloping Northumberland landscape.
The generous tasting menu utilises foraged ingredients from the Northumberland countryside and produce from the onsite kitchen garden. The focus on local, seasonal ingredients means the menu can change daily, ensuring a fresh and exceptional dining experience. It was awarded one Michelin star in 2022 and has retained it since, including it in the 2026 Michelin Guide. Furthermore, Pine holds a Michelin Green Star for its commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing.
