Step inside Whistlebare Fold and you’ll find walls lined with richly coloured yarns, carefully chosen fabrics and a collection of handmade products that celebrate traditional craft and contemporary design. The shop showcases Whistlebare’s own range of natural yarns, produced from mohair and wool sourced from the family’s Angora goats and Wensleydale sheep before being spun and hand-dyed in Yorkshire and Northumberland.
Visitors can also pause for locally roasted coffee and homemade cake, making Whistlebare Fold as much a place to linger as it is to shop. Throughout the year, the business hosts knitting, crochet and sewing workshops, creating opportunities to learn new skills and connect with fellow makers.
