Whitby Regatta
The historic harbour town of Whitby hosts the much-loved Whitby Regatta from 8 – 10 August 2026, bringing a weekend of rowing races, sailing competitions and traditional festivities.
First held in 1839, Whitby Regatta is one of Britain’s oldest seaside events, offering a lively celebration of Whitby’s long maritime heritage.
It’s a non-profit event, run by local volunteers for the community, creating the perfect atmosphere to experience Whitby’s hospitality and history.
