The Peebles Beltane Festival is one of the Borders’ most colourful summer celebrations taking place from 14 -20 June 2026.

Celebrated since 1897, it is one of the region’s oldest community traditions. Expect a week of rides and ceremonies honoring the town’s traditions, the famous fancy dress parade, culminating in the crowning of the Beltane Queen.

Locals line the streets as riders, bands and decorated floats pass through the town centre, creating a vibrant spectacle that blends pageantry, history and community spirit in celebration of Peebles’ enduring traditions.
