Amble Puffin Festival
The Amble Puffin Festival is a joyful weekend dedicated to the much-loved seabirds of nearby Coquet Island. As spring turns to summer, thousands of puffins gather on the island just offshore and the harbour town of Amble marks the moment with a colourful, community-spirited festival for visitors of all ages.
Throughout the town you’ll find arts and craft fairs, wildlife talks, guided walks, bird-watching, live music and family activities, as well as beach games and watersports along the shore. Local artists, nature groups and musicians bring the harbour to life, while puffin-themed trails, exhibitions and children’s activities make it a delightful day out for families.
For the full puffin experience, visitors can also take a boat cruise from Amble Harbour to see the thriving seabird colony around Coquet Island which is home to tens of thousands of puffins.
