"As always (this was our 3rd visit) Stewards House remains a wonderful property to stay at. It is beautifully appointed with the needs of the guests to the fore. Great location with lovely grounds and walks on the doorstep. We were very unfortunate with the weather but the owners were extremely helpful throughout ensuring that we were comfortable, safe and had everything we needed. "Absolutely super- just perfect venue for family get together. Ideally placed for all - lovely local riverside walks from the house and beach walks only a short drive away. We will be back. House very spacious, clean, cosy and comfortable. Lovely bed linen! Kitchen well equipped. Welcome basket and spring flowers a nice touch but so is cling film, foil, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. All these make such a big difference and differentiate from run of the mill rentals."

"I would like to thank Crabtree & Crabtree for handling our booking arrangements so professionally. Our family weekend was a wonderful success, thank you. The house was superb and fitted out superbly. My family have all been so impressed by the property that they are now talking about trying to make the trip again next year if not before. We had little contact with the owners but any we had was very friendly and helpful. Our weekend was dry but extremely cold and the estate looked wonderful with the sun on the heavy frost. The open fire was a great bonus."

"Steward's House is a wonderful place to stay! The house is very beautiful and superbly equipped, just perfect for our family of eight, plus small dog. We only wish we could have stayed longer to fully explore the grounds & gardens, and all the great places in the vicinity. The youngsters had brought board games, but didn't need them, as there were plenty available in the house. They also made good use of the pool table. The gated courtyard was perfect, as I didn't have to worry about the dog. With 'poo bags' and doggie treats you have thought of everything! We had a wonderful long weekend. It was a case of so much to do, so little time!"

"We thought that the house was lovely; very well equipped, furnished and very comfortable. The location was absolutely stunning. We met the owners walking their dogs and said that they were lovely. Really nice of the owners to allow their guests to wander over the property. All the children enjoyed ambling up to the horses with a carrot or two, I hope they haven't spoiled them. All in all I don't think that there's very much, if anything, that could have made my stay more enjoyable. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay."

"We very much enjoyed our week at the Stewards House which was one of the best equipped with the most luxurious interior design of a holiday let we have stayed in. We also really appreciated the lovely welcome basket including yummy Easter eggs and prosecco and whoever laid on the incredible weather should also be thanked. The owners were also really kind and made some great recommendations of local places to visit and eat at. We will be highly recommending not only Northumberland and the Stewards House but also Crabtree & Crabtree."

"We stayed at Steward’s House as a 2 family party & one dog from 26 October 19 – 2 November 2019 and had a fantastic week. The house is fabulous and the extra things provided such as a welcome hamper and kitchen/laundry items such as tea towels/washing up liquid, foil, dishwasher tablets and laundry detergent went above and beyond what we expected to be provided. There was even treats for our dog! There is a large kitchen and a lovely lounge for which we made good use of the open fire every night and plenty of logs are available along with board games etc to keep everyone entertained. If you like reading there is plenty of reading materials to suit all tastes too. The 4 bedrooms upstairs were fantastic and the fact the 2 double bedrooms each had their own en-suite (with bath & shower) was an added bonus and meant you weren’t fighting over getting in the bathroom and had some privacy if you wanted a soak in the bath after a day out walking/sight-seeing. The house was always warm as there was no restriction on times you could have the heating on (we didn’t need to change the pre-set times) and if you needed to dry clothes the boiler room had clothes hangers for you to do this. We were left eggs on the doorstep one morning from the owners chickens and you could definitely tell they were from free range chickens. The location of the house was ideal for us. We had an amazing week at Steward’s House and cannot fault it at all and if we were to visit this area again would definitely not hesitate to re-book. We would therefore thoroughly recommend Steward’s House to anyone thinking of booking a stay there. A 5 star house."
