Centrally located in the picturesque town of Kelso, Goshen Cottage has been lovingly restored by the owners to a high standard throughout and is perfectly positioned for exploring Kelso and the wider Scottish Borders.
Deceptively spacious and contemporary interior
Belying its period exterior, the deceptively spacious, contemporary interior includes some delightful architectural features which add character and charm. In the sitting room there’s a fabulous slate stack wall with wood burning stove for cosy evenings in, while during the warmer months, french doors lead to the pretty, enclosed garden with all-weather artificial turf, seating area and barbecue - an idyllic sheltered, sunny spot just perfect for Pimms!
The dining room seats six people comfortably and a Victorian cast-iron fireplace provides an elegant focal feature to the room. The smart, shaker-style kitchen comes very well equipped and a vibrant splashback adds a pop of colour. Upstairs there’s an opulent master bedroom with an adjoining single room for a child, a family bathroom with huge bath and an additional single bedroom on a mezzanine level. A pull-out double bed in the sitting room is also available at no additional fee.

The property is located a two minute walk from Kelso’s charming cobbled town square, once described by Sir Walter Scott as ‘the most beautiful if not the most romantic village in Scotland’. Today it retains much of that charm and remains one of the most attractive and scenic towns in the region with its Flemish-style square and rich Georgian and Victorian architecture. You will find excellent local amenities here and a super range of independent shops where you are guaranteed some friendly chats along the way. There is a good range of pubs, bars and restaurants serving everything from a pie and a pint to fine local produce.

"We had a lovely stay at Goshen Cottage, it was very welcoming with every you would need! We thought the personal touches such as fresh flowers and wine were a lovely touch. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in Kelso, very handy for town centre."Sinclair family
"We had a fantastic time, even the weather was better than forecasted and the garden got plenty of use too. It is a great house for a group of friends to go too, plenty of space for all the girls to spread about and perfect sleeping arrangements for us. We had no comments to improve the house and no criticisms at all. One of the things we loved the most was the proximity to the town, we were up and down a few times every day dittering about. We will definitely be booking this property again. The Crabtree & Crabtree website is my favourite cottage website."Mackay family
"We had a lovely time at Goshen Cottage. The cottage is wonderful, and the welcome pack was very impressive, and appreciated, good to see the owners using Scottish products too. Loved the log burner, very welcome with the weather we had. Would love to come back again in the summer time. Would highly recommend the cottage, booking was straight forward, and instructions and directions were spot on."Beddie family
"We found Goshen Cottage to be a high standard of accommodation. We appreciated the welcome pack of essentials! The log burner and Jamie Oliver BBQ was the icing on the cake. We look forward to staying with Crabtree & Crabtree again and already recommended Goshen Cottage to friends and family."Bentley family
