Find out more about the Crabtree & Crabtree team
Responsible for: Founding Crabtree & Crabtree and of course providing our name! Handpicking the holiday homes for our portfolio and possessing endless knowledge on all aspects of holidaying in our area.
Lives: Near Berwick-upon-Tweed
Described by the rest of us as: Passionate, a skilled multitasker and a serious dog lover.
My ideal weekend in our local area would be spent: Going for long walks along the banks of the Tweed with Mrs Brown in tow. This is usually followed by a trip to our local butcher RG Foreman & Son and along to the Berwick Shellfish Company to pick up supplies for the rest of the weekend - I'd particularly recommend the dressed crab. On Sundays I often take a trip to the coast to enjoy beach walks and afternoon tea on Northumberland’s Heritage Coast.
Responsible for: Ensuring office morale is at an all time high on mornings when she appears!
Lives: By Emma's side
Described by the rest of us as: a lovable spaniel with boundless energy, a cheeky personality and a love of the countryside lifestyle. A complete natural in front of the camera... and partial to a treat or two!
Responsible for: Accounts, accounts, fishing, accounts! In charge of all owner, guest and client accounts and payments.
Lives: Near Duns
Described by the rest of us as: Funny, a numbers whizz, green fingered.
My ideal weekend in our local area would be spent: With as much time out in my garden as possible tending to the veg patch and collecting the eggs from our free-range chickens! In the evenings, I'll head to my favourite local eateries to enjoy some of the wonderful local produce; we have so many great companies producing food and drink in the Borders and Northumberland that it's a joy to eat in or dine out!
Responsible for: Spreading the word of our beautiful properties.
Lives: Near Melrose
Described by the rest of us as: Full of life, creative, meticulous.
My ideal weekend in our local area would be spent: Getting outdoors as much as I can: surfing, hiking, tennis, horse riding ... there is always something new to try in this area! The coastal clifftop path at St Abb's Head is wonderfully windy with beautiful views and the Eildon hills are worth the climb (enjoy a picnic at the top and finish with some cold refreshments once back down in Melrose, of course)! I visit Bamburgh as often as I can where a trip to The Potted Lobster for seafood followed by a walk on the beach - and paddle in the sea - is a must.
Responsible for: Guest liaison and helping with the selection of the perfect property for your Crabtree & Crabtree holiday.
Lives: Near Kelso
Described by the rest of us as: Extremely organised, energetic, friendly.
My ideal weekend in our local area would be spent: I love the outdoors and spend lots of time running or rambling in the nearby Cheviots as I train for my next challenge – however I always need a companion, I’ve got a notoriously bad sense of direction and get lost quite easily! This would be followed by an evening in one of my favourite local restaurants and a trip to a wine bar with my husband and friends. Top of my "to do" list is visiting the Velvet Hall Alpacas at Innerleithen to trek with them in the nearby hills!
Responsible for: Bookings and guest liaison, working with our internal systems. Usually the first point of contact if you give us a call.
Lives: Near Coldstream
Described by the rest of us as: Lively, dependable, the owner of an infectious laugh.
My ideal weekend in our local area would be spent: Throughout the summer months you'll find me at Border Berries picking fruity treats to use in my home baking, or treating myself to ice cream and fish and chips from Eyemouth. I highly recommend trying out Giacopazzi's if you're over that way - best eaten whilst taking in the view on Coldingham Beach. I love to explore and take my energetic dogs for long walks along the beautiful Tweed and nearby beaches or to explore the numerous castles in the area!
Responsible for: Working with Emma to bring new properties on board; property management and owner liaison.
Lives: Near Kelso
Described by the rest of us as: Friendly, positive, diligent and prone to creative bursts!
My ideal weekend in our local area would be spent: Time in the brilliant outdoors... with the occasional spot of shopping and good glass of wine! Happy days - walking on the riverside, forest and beach or taking my Dutch bike out for a spin! Top spots - watching the sunset over Floors Castle from Friars Haugh; the breath-taking panoramic views across the Cheviot Hills from Dere Street or from the Waterloo Monument atop Peniel Heugh; the Cornhill Village Shop for yummy picnic lunches; the Collingwood Arms Restaurant for......everything really, and lazy weekend wanders along the stunning coastline.
Responsible for: Enquiries, bookings and guest liaison.
Lives: Near Kelso
Described by the rest of us as: Bubbly, efficient, welcoming.
My ideal weekend in our local area would be spent: lunching in our local cafés and exploring the varied and friendly independent shops in our pretty market towns. I do also enjoy energetic days out in the hilltops walking along my favourite route, the Pennine Way, or long strolls along Northumberland’s beautiful beaches – my favourite being Cheswick Sands which is beautiful in every season and the perfect place to take my dog, Izzy. It also wouldn’t be a day out at the coast without stopping off at Eyemouth for fish and chips and award-winning ice cream overlooking the harbour… the perfect place to spot some cheeky seals!
