Stay at the Cragg Estate

The Cragg Estate boasts two charming holiday homes, Broadgate Farmhouse and Risingham House. The former includes the option of additional accommodation at the neighbouring Steading, while the latter can be enjoyed as the reduced occupancy version of Risingham Cottage. The Estate is also home to a wild bothy just a short walk or drive away from the properties, warmed by a log burner and elevated by large glass windows which look out to the scenery beyond. The bothy can be booked as an addition to your stay and is the perfect setting for memorable celebratory meals.

A Rich History & Commitment to Sustainability

As a versatile venue, Cragg Estate specialises in hosting a range of events, including private get-togethers, workshops, and wedding parties. The estate’s scenic grounds and adaptable spaces create an ideal setting for intimate gatherings or grand celebrations, with options for bespoke event planning and catering to meet individual needs.

Events & Activities

Guests can enjoy a variety of activities on the estate, from complimentary trout and salmon fishing along three miles of the River Rede to exploring the vast expanse of the Northumberland National Park, Kielder Water & Forest Park, and nearby historic sites including Hadrian’s Wall and Alnwick Castle. The bothy offers a unique setting for private dining and stargazing experiences, while tailored workshops and in-house wellness services add a touch of luxury to any stay.

Exploring Northumberland

Set in a landscape which is defined by its natural beauty and historic character, the Cragg Estate is set within easy reach of Hexham, a vibrant market town known for its historic architecture and lively food scene.
