Fishing booking service

With our extensive local knowledge and contacts on Tweed we are well-placed to source and book fishing on your behalf.  We know which beats offer the best value and which fish well in certain conditions. We have access to beats which are not openly marketed and can assist with access to waiting lists for autumn weeks on the prime beats.  We just need a brief from you and we will come back with the best options for your budget and requirements.  We charge a booking fee of £15 (including VAT) to source and book fishing on your behalf.  All fishing must be paid in full at the time of booking.  We urge guests to contact us in good time for autumn fishing as this can be very difficult to come by and almost impossible after the start of the new season.

Additional services

In addition to arranging fishing and accommodation, we also offer a range of additional services to help you to get the best from your stay.

  • Ghillies, guides and instructors
  • Tackle and equipment hire (delivered to the lodge if required)
  • Picnics delivered to the river
  • Airport transfers and vehicle hire
  • Trips and activities for non-shooting guests
  • Childcare whilst you are fishing
  • Cooks, wine and meal delivery to lodges and dinner reservations
  • Corporate fishing days
  • Disabled fishing access
  • Fish smoking

Bespoke fishing packages

Sourcing and booking fishing, accommodation, cooks and other services can be very time consuming. If you would prefer to let us do the hard work, contact us with a brief and we will put together a bespoke proposal on your behalf.  Bespoke packages are particularly popular for special events (e.g. birthdays and anniversaries) and for corporate entertainment or team-building days. We do not charge a fee for preparing a proposal and any booking fees will be included in the quoted prices.

Booking your own fishing on Tweed

You may prefer to source and book your own fishing in which case we can provide you with details of beats close to your accommodation.  The vast majority of beat owners and agents advertise their rod availability on FishTweed and rods can be purchased online.  If you already have fishing organised, we can assist you in finding suitable accommodation close to your beat.  Some of our properties offer designated facilities for fishing parties such as rod and drying rooms and chest freezers.

Useful booking information

If you are not familiar with booking fishing on Tweed, it is worth knowing that the usual policy followed by beat owners and agents is for the previous seasons' guests to be offered first refusal on re-booking for the new season.  Any remaining rods are usually released for sale in January.  Any remaining availability for the best weeks tends to be booked soon after being released with autumn fishing on the renowned Lower and Middle Tweed beats rarely becoming available (although the recent economic downturn has resulted in a slight increase in the availability of prime fishing). Most beats operate a waiting list and some will give guests taking spring weeks priority for an eventual autumn week.  Guests should also be aware that prime beats will often insist on a minimum booking of say three rods for three days.
