The villages of Bamburgh and Seahouses are situated just a few miles from each other on a stretch of the Northumberland Coast - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Bamburgh is a beautiful village which remains one of the most popular beach destinations in England. Here you’ll find miles upon miles of stunning white sands, friendly local shops, quaint tea-rooms and cosy pubs and restaurants – all with Bamburgh Castle as the breathtaking backdrop.
Seahouses offers the opportunity to stay in a colourful fishing village with its busy harbour and seaside shops. There are beaches to the north and the south of the village featuring great sweeping curves of white sand running almost seamlessly to Bamburgh and Budle Bay. This stretch is extremely popular with families and is just made for lazy picnics and days out with a bucket and spade.
The whole area is bursting with things to do here, dotted by a trail of castles and fortifications interspersed with pretty seaside villages all the way up and down the coast. Cross the causeway to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne to trace the legend of St. Cuthbert or take a boat trip from Seahouses to the outstanding Farne Islands nature reserve and seabird sanctuary.
